Under normal circumstances this website is available 24 hours every day of the year except an annual shutdown usually between 24 December and 3 January, for major updating. Outwith these times if the site is unavailable this may be due to a major technical difficulty which we will seek to remedy as soon as technically possible and can't be liable for such downtime.
If you find that you are blocked from this site (seeing a page "Access Denied" or "you do not have permission to access this site"), it may be because your IP address may have been recorded previously visiting the site and making requests for data files that are not part of the open site. Visitors such as this are deemed to be intent on committing fraud.
